Self-Help Tools

Simple things some people find calming, to use whenever you need a moment, including while you're waiting for a first session. Pick a tool below. These aren't a substitute for therapy or medical care; they're just a little support for right now.

Breathe with the circle

Slowing your breathing can help settle a racing mind or body. Pick a pattern, press start, and let the circle guide you. There's no right way to do this; if it ever feels uncomfortable, simply stop.

Ready when you are

Follow the circle: breathe in as it grows, out as it shrinks. Stop whenever you like.

On most phones the screen stays awake during the exercise. If it dims, just tap to carry on.

If you need more than a moment

These tools are here for everyday wobbles. If you're in immediate distress, please reach out to a person: contact the Samaritans (free, 24/7), your GP, or call 999 in an emergency.
